Hey there, people were asking me, how a 16 years old managed his way from developing the game to selling the game? means seriously, me too sometime during the process of finding publishers, thought that, can i do it? Is it really gonna happen? So i had thought, why didn't i write about my experience during the process of developing & selling the game! So the idea came in my mind of trying to sell my HTML5 game, when i searched about developers doing this from a long time say 2013 or something, so i thought that do the market is still alive?, do they still accepting games from new developers? all this question came in my mind, then i thought let's see if i can make any sales on this market. I'm coding from 3+ years using GameMaker: Studio and have quite good knowledge of it, my plus point is that i have a passion to draw, and people say that i can draw well, then what? i took papers and my pen and started sketching and writing about ideas on it. It took me a day for a nice Idea of the game, then finally! i have an idea and a laptop! I started making the game, but before i jump in the process of coding, creating sprites and things, i searched about the market and its need, i found that market is more interested in High-Quality Graphics as they were in native mobile games, so here it won't take me much to create sprites for my game as i have told you, I can draw well, and my preference is always drawing vector arts. so finally i have a game idea, bunch of HQ sprites and as always a laptop. Then, i searched more, and the reality is 'The more i searched, more i got difficulties' as i got to know that i have to make mobile friendly game, means rotation-alert features and blah-blah-blah... so over-coming all the difficulties, i finally made a game! which had all the things to fulfills the market needs. It took me a total of 12 days or something, for completing the game. But, after completing the game its just the 50% of the work now i have to find Publishers for my game, then what? i take a look at some lists of publishers and sponsors but really it doesn't helped, i had to find publishers manually (not blaming the lists, maybe my game is not that much good), most of the publishers not replied, but few of them replied saying that 'your game doesn't meet our requirements', but i didn't lost my hope and continued finding sponsors, and finally after some of the weeks later, a publisher replied me positively, i became very happy and can't describe this on words, and after contacting them and completing some formality i finally and finally and finally for sure... sold my game! that was very happy movement for me as its my first sale! Finally, i would like to thanks my brother, who helped me throughout the process of making as well as selling the game. He's also just 17. Honestly, i didn't like to check mails, reply them, finding publisher, contacting them and blah blah blah...so, this all cruel but important things were done by my brother. After the sale, i played some of my favorite game to enjoy and to celebrate! I played some series of 'Call Of Duty' and did some nice things. You can play the completed game "Galactic Upgrade" HERE
